Deep in the jungle of Mentawai, witness and experience the life of Mentawai tribe (Sikerei). Upon leaving, you will participate in one day volunteer program for the kids of Siberut Island.

HOW TO GET THERE?

FLY TO PADANG - Minangkabau International Airport​​​ (PDG)
Make sure you arrive here at least 1 day before the trip date.

STAY THE NIGHT IN PADANG
​The meeting point is at Hotel/Muaro Harbour, so you will have to stay at least 1 night in Padang and make sure it is close to the harbour.

SPEED BOAT TO MENTAWAI (included in the package)
We will take the Mentawai Fast boat to go to Siberut Island.​ Total duration: ±7 hours (1h stop at Sikabaluan)​

RETURN TO PADANG
We will return to Padang at 1 PM, taking the Mentawai Fast boat. Total duration: ±7 hours. You need to take a night flight or stay the night in Padang and get a flight on the next day

DAY 1
WELCOME TO SIBERUT ISLAND
Before you go into the deep jungle, the kids of Sanggar Pasigeugeu, Desa Puro, welcomes you with a welcome dance ceremony.
DAY 2
THE ROUTE TO THE DEEP JUNGLE
A traditional canoe, pongpong, journey along the river to Sikere`s Uma. Witnessing tribal activities and tribal dance.
DAY 3
HUNT LIKE A SIKEREI
Get involved in hunting, follow the women of Mentawai fishing in a river and a visit to But`tui elementary school.
DAY 4
THE MYTH OF KULUKUBUK WATERFALL
Short trekking to Kulukubuk waterfall, swim & bathe in a fresh clear water. Back to Desa Puro and see Tuak making process.
DAY 5
LEAVING A PURPOSEFUL MARK
Let`s spread our skills & knowledge to the kids of Mentawai. Leaving a purposeful mark for the kids and the community.
